At Allweather, we know that environmental sustainability is one of the most important responsibility issues that companies currently face. For that reason we have policies and procedures in place which are carried out in accordance with existing legislation, and in advance of proposed future legislation. We are committed to protecting the environment of the local communities to which we provide services, and to make a positive contribution to national and international targets on environmental issues such as reducing waste and lowering carbon emissions.
We have waste management policies are in place to keep the amount of waste sent to landfill and our waste management policies meet ISO:14001 standards. We approach waste reduction from four angles: reduction, re-use, recycling and responsible purchasing.
We currently recycle all paper, cardboard, and packaging materials. We also recycle waste plasterboard through the British Gypsum recycling scheme. We purchase from responsible suppliers with strong environmental management policies. Our wood is purchased through FSC accredited companies.
We will continue to review and update our practices and procedures to minimise waste and to contribute towards a cleaner environment.
